A future full of art
Museum de Fundatie has a rich history. We are home to two beautiful buildings and two remarkable collections: the collection of Dirk Hannema and the collection of the Province of Overijssel. Each year, we present several new exhibitions. We believe that variety enriches. Different styles, art movements, backgrounds and art forms come together here.
We move with the times. An art collection is like a living organism: it needs to keep moving in order to remain a reflection of its time. Past, present and future meet in the objects, stories and ideas of the many different makers represented in the collection.
Our museum has an international outlook, while being deeply rooted in Overijssel. We present work by makers from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds, identify new talent and work closely with various educational institutions in Zwolle. In this way, we connect a rich history of art and architecture with new generations of makers. Together, we invest in a future full of art.
