Policy plan and objective
The foundation’s objective is to preserve and make available the collection of Dirk Hannema as a living institution. This collection includes paintings, sculptures, watercolours, drawings, furniture, porcelain, ceramics and other works of art, both historic and modern.
The art library and the collection of reproductions of artworks brought together by Dirk Hannema during his lifetime are also part of this. Dirk Hannema was the former director of Museum Boymans in Rotterdam. The foundation also manages artworks that have been or will be acquired after his death, either as property of the foundation or on long-term loan.
Remuneration policy
The museum applies its own collective employment conditions scheme. Salaries are based on the salary scales of the Museum Collective Labour Agreement. The museum complies with the Dutch Standards for Remuneration Act (WNT).
Members of the Supervisory Board do not receive remuneration for their role. Costs incurred while carrying out their duties are reimbursed on the basis of expense claims. More information about the salaries of our senior officials can be found on page 93 of the 2022 annual report.
