What if you could not only see a work of art, but also hear, smell and visualise it? Following the success of the previous edition at Museum de Fundatie, The Invisible Museum returns with a unique musical experience, inspired by the exhibition Digital by Nature. In this exhibition, nature and technology converge in digital worlds full of growing patterns, organic forms and shifting colours. The Invisible Museum invites you to experience this art in a new way: through a combination of live classical music, storytelling and scents, a sensory journey of discovery is created that brings the exhibition to life from a completely different perspective.
Four young, passionate musicians take you on a journey through a diverse musical programme, featuring works by Tchaikovsky, Debussy and Philip Glass, amongst others. A bespoke programme has been put together especially for this exhibition, featuring unique arrangements that complement the atmosphere, imagery and ideas of Chevalier’s digital natural worlds.
The Invisible Museum makes art accessible to a wide audience. For blind and visually impaired visitors, the combination of music, storytelling and scent opens up new ways of experiencing art. But for sighted visitors too, this experience offers a surprising depth: by listening, smelling and imagining in a different way, you may discover something you wouldn’t have noticed with your eyes alone. A museum visit that goes beyond simply looking. An encounter between visual art and classical music, in which all the senses are engaged and space is created for everyone’s own imagination.
