Every first Friday of the month is Fundatie Friday! Between 5.00 pm and 9.00 pm, you can enjoy a varied programme for free.
Special event on 4 December: VR experience – create your own virtual natural world
Create your own virtual world, just like the artist Miguel Chevalier does. During this Fundatie Friday, from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm, you can get to work with a pair of Virtual Reality (VR) headsets and create a world in which nature comes to life digitally. In the work Meta-Nature AI, Chevalier creates plants and flower-like forms devised by an algorithm, not by nature. Now it’s your turn to step into the role of that algorithm. What would you grow if there were no rules governing what a plant or animal should look like? Be inspired by the exhibition Digital by Nature and let’s get started!
Fundatie Friday gives you free entry to the museum and offers a programme featuring live music, performances, talks, guided tours and interviews, all in keeping with the theme of the current exhibitions. This Fundatie Friday is organized in collaboration with Kunsteducatie Nederland and ties in with the exhibition Digital by Nature.
During Fundatie Friday, a number of disposable cameras are passed round amongst the visitors. This creates a unique retrospective, captured through the visitor’s lens. Fancy seeing the photos? Take a look here!
