This autumn, Museum de Fundatie in Zwolle is hosting three exhibitions on the theme of nature. But what do we actually mean by ‘nature’? Who decides that? And what does nature mean to you? Using the line of poetry “What is nature in this country now?” by J. C. Bloem, you will engage in discussion with one another and with botanical philosopher Norbert Peeters. Afterwards, you can visit the exhibitions.
Norbert Peeters is a botanical philosopher, writer and lecturer in Philosophy at Wageningen University & Research. As a botanical philosopher, he writes and speaks primarily on the intersection of botany and philosophy. In 2016, he made his debut with *Botanical Revolution: Charles Darwin’s Botany*. He recently completed his PhD with the thesis and popular science book *Exotic: The History of Concepts in Invasion Ecology, from Linnaeus to Darwin* (2026).
